To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness.
Book introduced how the original lighthouse captains and families years ago had great responsibilities of keeping oil lamps cleaned and burning each night. It showed how time-consuming a job it was manning a lighthouse in America. The third-grade unit showed that our coast guard maritime branch eventually replaced lighthouse's lamps with automated lights or lit buoys near rocky shores to help guide ships. Modern day ships have sonar to help them navigate our waters. Eventually several lighthouses were offered for the public and private individuals to purchase with a contract to maintain and help preserve their historical significance.
A simple, accessible book. The in-house 5 year old girl child was drawn in by the personal challenge Abbie faced and her choice and ability to meet it. There's also value in the setting as foreign to most children now, living in a lighthouse and carrying responsibility for the ships at sea.
