Straight forward introduction to sampling plans

It will explain enough to get you started,on simpler plans which can then be developed. Choosing the AQL to test to is still difficult!

The book has helped me in my job. I have to generate a lot of sampling plans in a daily/weekly basis. It is very concise and clear. You do not waist time while reading it or while studying from it because the author goes practically straight to the formulas (transfers the knowledge quickly).

This book needs more examples. The book may be good, but this author moves very fast with a limited number of examples. Acceptance sampling is not an intuitive science. Some of the other books have far more worked examples, and that is the kind of book I need.

I got the kindle version of this book.
pro: The book gives reasonable good overview of the various sampling method out there.

Con: This book deals with statistics, which is non-intuitive material by nature, hard to grasp even for people which deals with statistics on daily basis (I happen to be such a person). Unfortunately, the writer did not invest enough effort to alleviate the non-intuitiveness of the material (by almost completely neglecting graphics, by not giving clear and concise definitions for each parameter, variable and equations used, by not explaining the Excel functions used, etc.). In addition, there are many inaccuracies in the text and equations which makes it even harder to understand.

Another issue are the cross-references (page numbers, equation numbers and figures numbers), in the kindle version, do not work properly (I'm not sure I can blame this on the writer, but she is responsible).

Therefore, I would not recommend this book to most people.
