How are ratings calculated?
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we donโ€™t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness.

4.0 out of 5 stars Kudos to Covel

OK, another trend following book by Mike Covel. You might ask why, I did. Its apparent Covel is on a mission to convert as many hard headed traders to think like (or at least be aware of) extremely successful trend following traders. This book departs slightly from Covel's usual concentration on the Turtles and their founders Dennis and Eckhardt and highlights other not so famous trend following traders. I got a chuckle out of some of the reviews complaining that there was no "system" inside this $20 book. Really? Missed the whole point of the book that the weakest link in most systems is the guy pulling the trigger. Serious traders recognize the need to work on themselves as much as their systems. Worth your time.

4.0 out of 5 stars Driving home the point(s)

If you're looking for hand-holding and out-of-the-box methods of trading, you should probably look elsewhere. On the other hand, if you're open to learning about the ways of thinking that make great traders, you should check this out. This is more about trading philosophies than mechanics, the way I see it, but there's an awful lot in this little book if you're paying attention, basic things that will save your skin and alter your thought patterns. It's a good read, not too dry, fair amounts of inspiration, methods, philosophies to carry you on your way. Great building blocks can be found here.

4.0 out of 5 stars Gives motivation but no practical system

This book explains very well why trend following is supposedly better than other trading approaches. However it wonโ€™t give you practical tips (which technical indicators to use for example)
