To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness.
The work book should be used as adjunct to the text book.
The text is so clearly written I just want to buy one to frame it. If you want to understand step by step why you calculate the ratios, how to explain them and to use them to make an effective financial model use this book.
If you sat through finance courses at universities and learnt absolutely nothing because they merely test out of formality. I suggest you invest in this book, it will teach you more than all the other books you read through e.g. the very shit and useless textbook by Bodie and Kane titled "investments" .
This basically teaches you everything you need to know on a technical basis for a regular M&A banking interview.
This is not a summarized, spark notes kind of book. It goes into enough detail so you understand valuation and mergers. I would treat this as a guarantee you won’t mess up on technicals during interviews. I say it’s worth the money and the time to read in depth.
The thing I feel not too good about this order is the price. I wish that the price could be reduced a bit more for a Kindle version of this book. I would prefer a PDF version than Kindle version due to its restricted utility. However, it's a good book to have.
