1.0 out of 5 starsWorst book ever in gender identity

This book is very misleading for young minds. One is born female, that means the body had female organs and hopefully can give birth. When one is born male, one has male organs and that means the male can implant a sperm and create a baby in the womb of the female. Do I need to point our that the animal kingdom also had the same approach?? You can FEEL like a male but be born a female, or feel like a female and be born male. a friend of mine is in conflict, as her family wants to allow their 10 year old male to have a sex change. What if he changes his mind? What if he wants to be a dad one day and have a partner to give birth to his child? Let him grow up and make his OWN mind when he is old and mature enough. WHAT ARE WE TEACHING OUR KIDS?? THIS IS UTTERLY RIDICULOUS NONSENSE. PLEASE DO NOT READ TO KIDS. just say no.

5.0 out of 5 stars An important book for kids and adults

My son had a non-binary teacher in kindergarten and I bought this book to help him understand gender identity. It explains topics that can be hard to understand, even for adults, very clearly and succinctly. I recommend it as an easy to grasp reference book for anyone looking to gain a better understanding of gender identities beyond cisgender.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic book!

Our child has been non-gender conforming since they were 3. Now that they are 8, they have been very frustrated by the lack of non-binary characters in media. They have read this book several times and are so excited to see their identity represented. The book has also helped them to understand not making assumptions about people based on their appearance. It's really a fantastic book.

1.0 out of 5 stars Brainwashing at it's finest.
Reviewed in Canada 🇨🇦 on June 15, 2022
This book takes the myth that "all things are subjective", and applies it to the human body, to create a cult like, emotions based sales pitch that tries to erase the objective fact of biological genetic gender, and replace it with something that is literally undefinable. An undefinable thing, both logically and literally, doesn't exist. I can see, with the way this book is pitched, and how it is designed to sppeal to emotions and not logical thought, how so many parents are fooled into denying reality.
They are tricked into thinking that gender identity ideology, the thought experiment, that it is actually real, when it is not.

The reality that exists inside your head (subjective reality), which includes what you think and what you perceive, what you feel and how you express yourself, is a different kind of reality from the reality that exists regardless of your mind (objective reality).

Objective reality describes truth, subjective reality describes preferences.

I can only guess by the high reviews that parents think more about their own popularity than protecting their children.
