Top critical review
Beautiful art cards, nice affirmations, but overall disappointing

Just bought these. I have been looking for an uplifting, positive, and optimistic tarot deck to do readings for people who are struggling, down, and negative-minded.
I have Collette Baron-Reid's Wisdom of the Oracle deck, which I love as the art is fabulous and the messages in LWB are encouraging; readings with the WotO are always perfect, appropriate, and helpful. I was hoping The Good Tarot would bring the same encouragement to the tarot, but after a quick flip through, I don't think this is the Tarot I'm looking for...
Here's my review...
The Good Tarot's LWB is 119 pages, 3.5" x 5" is great quality. Each card is depicted in black and white 1"x1.5", there is a brief list of keywords and a paragraph written almost as an affirmation.
11 Justice - Karma "The law of cause and effect is in play now as I see elements in my life balance out. What goes around comes around. I'm now seeing evidence of this law in the conditions of my world."
8 of Fire - Gathering momentum, celebrating swift changes, travel, transformation.
"Momentum is building as the power of Spirit serves to power this transformation. I am travelling to new territories, and I am eager to experience all that these lands have to offer. I have arrived at my destination and now the adventure of discovery is energizing me."
LWB great size, good quality, nice affirmations.
The tarot card's stock is thick and glossy.
Many images are stunning, evocative, and even heart-stopping!
Cards are borderless and large, so the art is well displayed.
11 cards represent other nations/cultures; specifically, asian, native (1), and african.
The cards stick together when shuffling.
Majority of the figures are model-beautiful white women
Some of the images are too busy with layers of symbol and decoration, so it is hard to see the central figure.
Cards are oracle sized.
Mostly images of women, few men
LWB had very little written for each card.
It's early days yet. I just went quickly through the deck and am disappointed. The women are all model beautiful. Which is lovely, but not something I can really connect with. There are only 4 cards that I love: Page of earth, 10 of water, Queen of air, 5 Hierophant. The rest of the cards are beautiful, but I'm not feeling connected.
I can see these being used to set a daily intention and as oracle cards. I'm not sure how they'll do for tarot readings. I'll update this review after I've done some tarot readings for people using the cards.
