My son really adores Hello Kitty. He is 5, almost 6, and he is loves all things cat. He also really enjoys "reading" comic books and stories with the comic book look. The stories are done mostly in comic book style pictures but with few words, and he is able to follow along and use the pictures to create the story. It is Hello Kitty and friends, but with a very modern, fun and action-oriented look. There is really nothing like this out there for kids who like the comic book stuff but with parents who aren't crazy about the violence or scary looking enemies or generally ridiculous themes of evil, etc marketed to very young kids. There are several other books by this author and we will be buying them all for my son's bday in a few months. Incredibly unique, exciting, clever and creative little book. Love it, love it, love it.
Lots of mini stories created and written by different artists. Some of the stories end weirdly, especially for a young child who is questioning things. But other than that I think they are a great introduction to comics for non-readers, as the only words in these, are the titles to the mini stories and the sound effects: swoosh, swish, pop!
Book 3 of 6 in the Hello Kitty comic book series. I love Hello Kitty so - unlike what some have stated, was NOT disappointed that there is no text. Use your imagination! What is Hello Kitty doing in each frame of the story? I can't wait to share these stories with younger family members and create the story as we read it together. If you enjoy this series I also recommend Hello Kitty Fashion Music Wonderland.
