Didn't really help my kids learn to use the potty and kids this young don't understand what versus means. The Dino basically challenges everything he sees and there isn't really any storyline here, just pages of him butting heads with things and refusing to use the potty.

Similar to a previous reviewer, I was a bit disappointed with this book. Basically the dinosaur "wins" against various things like lemonade and rain puddles and says "roar" a bunch of times. Im not sure exactly how it would lose against these things. Would the lemonade have won if the dinosaur had wetted iself or would the rain puddle have won if the dinosuar had tripped and fell?... ok, ok, I realize that its just a kid's book and it doesnt exactly have to make sense. Anyhow, despite having almost no value potty training, I gave it more than one star because at least my son was entertained. Then again Im pretty sure that he would have been just as entertained if the dinosaur won against lint, clouds, and a doorknob.

We are potty training our son and he LOVES dinosaurs, but does not like going to the potty. Thought this book would help him enjoy going to the potty more if he thought about dinosaurs. The book was more about saying that the dinosaur didn't need to go to the potty, until the very end. A final message was not to wait until it's too late to go to the potty.

I should have realized this would irk me, but I'm not a fan of "versus". I guess I don't want to encourage our kids to feel like everything needs to be looked at as a competition. And I'm not someone who fears competition or thinks it is a bad thing, but this book has dino super excited about winning everything... do we really need the potty power struggle. Potty wins, and that's okay? Not a fan.

I do not like this book. A lot of "roar"-ing and not a whole lot of actual words. The pictures are nice but I don't like reading this one at all, especially during the long periods of waiting in the potty.
