My friend and I have been working our way through the Old Testament using this series. We have purchased the study guides for each book starting with Genesis and just finished Kings. This series has been a true blessing of the Holy Spirit as it has opened our eyes to God's Word in ways that I didn't think were possible.

While I have read through the Bible several times, I never stopped to ponder the types of questions that come up in this series. The Gospel Glimpses, Whole Bible Connections and Theological Soundings especially bring to light aspects of the scriptures in ways that show you the connections throughout the Word and how the Holy Spirit is at work throughout.

I have seen some reviews on this series that "criticize" it for being too in-depth. I would challenge anyone who feels that way to 1. not criticize the study, because how can you when it is serving God's purpose for so many? and 2. go back and study these books again. The more you go through the Word, the more God will reveal to you. Even if you just use these study guides as reference material, they are worth the purchase price.

Straight forward study that encourages focusing on Scripture and knowing God better. This is what a Bible study should be about. As a woman l much prefer a study such as this over many women’s studies that focus on making you feel good about you, with an emphasis on emotions or topics better labeled “self-help” l plan to use other studies in the same series for my women’s group in the future.
