To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness.
The characters are so carefully created they become real individuals who you fear for and admire for their tenacity, innovative solutions, bravery, and most important humanity. You won't be disappointed if post-apocalyptic struggles and sci-fi zombie-like monsters are your thing!
Another great read in this series. This author just goes from strength to strength. There is obviously a lot of work that's gone into this series and you can feel the passion of the author for this topic.
I read every book in this series one after the other without going to any of my other readings in between. This action-packed, post-apocalyptic series is engrossing to the max! Every free moment of my days was used in reading the further adventures of John, Rachel, Katie, Irina, Igor, Martinez, Scott, Crawford and Dog. A storyline that has fitting multiple avenues. A text that carries you forward with every page with ups and downs in the outcomes for the characters that make you want to read more.
I've read numerous books in the post-apocalyptic genre and few kept me going like this series does.
I just can't wait for the next volume on September 15th.
I'll post this review to every volume on Amazon. Dirk Patton deserves it.
What a great series! I have just finished book 8 and was surprised by the ending……can’t wait to see what happens. I already have book 9 on pre-order from Amazon. Couple of things I love about the series. 1st I love the characters and how they develop over the series. It is easy to really feel for them and hate them “Roach for example”. The second thing I have really enjoyed is the take on the Zombie genre. I have read just about everything in print in the ZA genre a majority of it not so good. This series is in the top 3 on my list. The different approach to zombies for lack of a better term or should I say “Infected” is well thought out and fresh. Last I really enjoy the sense of humor injected into John one of the main characters.
