4.0 out of 5 starsVery valuable content but poor binding!
Reviewed in Canada 🇨🇦 on September 2, 2021
I think the content of the book is spot-on the interview procedure. However, there's definitely something wrong with the physical book itself. Many pages have a small inward fold at the bottom, which has been printed over. I've never seen anything like that before. I recommend the seller to double-check the printing process.

decent book, but I found some of the content and chapters are ordered not in the sequence. I recommend go with your own pace and jump around these chapters to maximize your efficiency.

5.0 out of 5 stars one of the better python technical question resource I've come across for interviews
Reviewed in Canada 🇨🇦 on May 2, 2019

I personally think this is among the top, if not the best, resource currently for preparing for SWE interviews if you choose to practice with python. I had a couple minor issues during the first few study sessions with your book, most of which can be attributed to my lack of knowledge beforehand.
- Smaller whitespace/margins made it difficult to write notes and add post-its.
- a lack of direction on how to further prepare for a specific chapter. For example, let's say I was pretty new to bit manipulation using python. The book quickly skims the syntax and expectations of how to approach problems involving this topic but doesn’t give detailed explanations or recommended external resources to get a better grasp of the content. I know the reader should be expected to know basic data structures/algorithms, but it would be nice if the readers were directed to resources that the authors personally recommended to get up to date if a chapter’s content completely stumps the reader. Not everybody preparing for technical interviews has had the privilege to take a formal algorithm analysis class.
- no solutions for variants( this isn’t really a con but it would be nice if the reader was given a hint, like time/space complexity the authors expect the solution should be).

5.0 out of 5 stars Good book for coding interview prep

Good book for preparing for a coding interview. I wish they explained the problem solutions more indepth.

Many of them left me with more questions than answer.

Overall, it is a deeper version of Cracking the Coding Interview book.

5.0 out of 5 stars A book of leetcode questions.

A hard book. Not a book for improving coding skill, but mostly focus on solving problems, algorithm especially. Covers all baisc topics but not meant to teach you, it seems like a book of leetcode questions.

1.0 out of 5 stars Ebook Poorly Formatted
Reviewed in Canada 🇨🇦 on November 30, 2022

I bought this book awhile ago but didn't get around to reading it until now. The pages are oriented sideways on the web reader and my phone, and there is no clear way to change the orientation. This makes it basically unreadable for all practical purposes. From what I can tell this is a pdf that has been lazily scanned in. I guess it is my fault for not checking during the return window but disappointed that there is no way to complain about defects such as this later down the line. The content seems good but in the present format this book was a total waste of money.

5.0 out of 5 stars Probably one of the better programming interview prep book out there

Just finished reading this book. Covers most of the topics that you'll ever encounter in a technical programming interview. Found myself doing alot better leetcode-style questions, after reading this book. Would recommend for any computer science/software engineering student applying for jobs.

3.0 out of 5 stars good content, terrible construction

The contents of the book is good, but the actual construction of the physical book is terrible. The bottom of the pages are stuck together as if they were glued, this really shouldn't be happening on such an expensive book.

1.0 out of 5 stars Terrible Printing Quality - Barely Readable
Reviewed in Canada 🇨🇦 on March 21, 2020

I have never seen a book printed like this before. The content seems okay, but it hard to tell because I can barley read it.

This book is printed on news print quality paper, so be careful when truing the pages. They are so thin that you can read the text on the other side almost clearly.

You cant quickly flip through the book because the headings are the same size as the regular test making it impossible to quickly search the book.

There is no proper page breaking, so content that should stay together like charts break in the middle of pages.

And there is no reasonable margin on the page, so you cant read text on the binding.

Also the preview of the book is in color, but again it is is printed in black and white. Images and diagrams are pixelelated and not professionally drawn.
