To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness.
Loved getting to know more details about Kevin Hart and his great comedy career and how hard he worked to get there. I love his work and his book and would like to read more of his thoughts and insight into his career and life. Get book to read for all up and coming actors and comedians and just common folks like me.
This is a well-written and insightful book. For aspiring comedians, this book suggests: Come from your heart. Say something that matters to you. Say what is going on in your life and automatically find the jokes in your life. Tell the truth and work the funny from there. When you change your mind about things, say so. Speak what you know. Just talk how you talk at home with your wife. You are not observing a crazy world, you are the crazy one. Problems are funny. Talk about what you feel you should be hiding. What you are going through with the wife and others. What she said, what you said, what she felt. Talk out loud our disagreements. Find your pain points and the humour in them. The audience will laugh at your reactions to situations - your uniqueness, personality and the way you do life, not see life. You are actually funny, not the jokes or delivery. What situations do you find yourself in and what are your responses to them. What small thing would make a story because your response to it was way out of proportion?
