Well to start with this was looking really good in my eyes.. I loved the chemistry between the main characters but then it just kept dragging out and I got where I hated the repeated jumping back to the past constantly..it was tiring to me and didn't even see any relevance in it. and then once they finally hooked up it was none stop sex sex sex..just a bit too much I lost total interest in the book and started skipping pages to finally get to the end. Disappointed in this one
A bit of spoilers mostly about her writing. I liked the story the characters are ok. I would have given this story more stars if there wasn't sooooooooo much monologue, and before every chapter for mostly 2 pages it goes into the past a year or 2 or 3 and it got to the point I was skipping that part cause honestly I didn't think it was part of the story, there were several times when I was reading it that I thought what was the point in these. What really pushed me to put 3 stars was the part they finally have sex in chapter 24, it ends the chapter with penetration then in the next chapter again starts with the 3 pages of the past then goes into 4 PAGES of monologue where she is talking about other guys junk before they resume having sex, it was 7 and half pages (I counted) before they went back. It was to the point I almost forgot they were in the middle of it. But other than that I liked the 2 main characters I do like the overall story plot, I just wished that the author cut back on the monologue and the time travel.
I love the from friends to lovers stories, this one was just too long and drawn out. The ending was a real let down as well. I usually can read a book in one setting but this one I lost interest before I finally went back and finished reading.
