Colourful and fun book for kids who enjoy going through the book and choosing which story they want to do next. Fun various styles of quizzes which tests their comprehension of the fun stories. Love this book
My daughter has trouble reading, learning to read in first grade was very difficult for her. She was never very excited to practice her reading. Things have changed with this book. She loves it. Every time, after she finishes reading every story (while I assist her when needed ) and its activity, I love seeing that beautiful smile on her face. She always says "mommy I liked it" . As a mom Thank you. I am very grateful for this book. Thank you so much
This is a great addition to our homeschool curriculum. It is sharpening her reading and comprehension. The stories in the book are easy to read, follow along and understand. And the exercises at the bottom are fun for my daughter to do.
Excellent. Best practice reading comprehension book on the market!! Very manageable for my 7 years old daughter. She feels very accomplished and wants to do more. 3 stories would take about 20 mins For her. And I love the fact that I don’t have to read so much checking her work. I can read fast and checked her work in no time. She’s getting faster and each page practice problems are different so she’s not bored. Completely in love with this book. Hope they have all grade levels. I’m gonna look now.
I ordered a lot of reading comprehension books to homeschool my child during the pandemic. I am a teacher and my child is a 3rd grader with autism. This is one of the few reading comprehension books my son does not complain about. I like the variety of reading comprehension skills and activities. The reading selections are fun, relevant, and relatable. This is one of the books he is excited about each day.
We have a 2nd grade boy that just wants to play. He hates reading. He was behind in class in reading. We spent a ton of money on books, but it was always a battle to get him to read. And when he did, the story would take forever, making him enjoy it even less. We also bought reading apps, which were not helpful. This book has one small story on each page, beginning to end. Each story takes about 5 minutes to read. He is willing to and even looks forward to reading one or two pages per day. He is now on 30 consecutive days of reading and his reading has already vastly improved. I realized that if adults can learn a foreign language in 5 minutes a day on Duolingo, then a kid can learn to read at the 2nd grade level in 5 minutes a day too. This is working for us and we’ve stopped the torture rests. So I would give this book 6 stars if possible. The book has over 100 very short stories.
This is the second book! I love having my son complete 3-5 pages a night during the school week. Grade 1 helped him make big improvements with reading comprehension Grade 2 has more complex words. The comprehension is a bit challenging as well! I highly recommend!!
