This book left me feeling totally empty. I feel like the author forgot to write the part of the book that connected us with the female character. She was cold and remote without there being a reason for it and then suddenly flipped the switch to being in love...again without an explanation. The book and characters were so forgettable that I had to read the back cover again to remind myself what it was about...and I just read it last week.
Nadia you've done it again! This hilarious romcom about Nate and Evie deserves more than 5 stars and I enjoyed meeting a lot of the great characters from previous books. There's lots of interesting background to the story and I can't wait for the next instalment which involves Kim.
Two stars because I did finish it although I started skipping towards the end. An amazingly unlikely romance with supposedly intelligent people doing stupid things: Haven't we all taken a couple of pregnancy tests at a party in someone else's home and then allowed a small child into the bathroom with us?
I loved this book and the characters and even though you have the live and romance throughout this book you also get a good few laughs. The self serve gas station comment actually had me crying with laughter. I bought this after reading for free on Kindle Unlimited it was that good
I've read many of Nadia Lee's books and I've loved the Sterling and Pryce families of billionaires! However not so much with Nate and Evie's story. This ones a 2 1/2 stars for me. The Pros...I love Nate, there's some good laugh out loud moments, I love the family bond of the Sterlings, they stand behind there own 100%. The Cons...I didn't really care for Evie. At times she acted childish. There were words left out, which I hate because, then I have to go back and reread it with the word in it, it takes away from the flow of the reading. Plus some things where just plain stupid!! Spoiler: Nate giving away ALL his money....EVERYTHING to Evie to prove that he loves her and that he doesn't have the power but SHE now does! WTH????? And she ACCEPTS it!!!! You mean to tell me the Sterlings, especially Barron is OK with this?!?! Again WTH!!! Things just didn't flow and the author never gave the readers closer on somethings, like what happened to the "wedding/real wedding" in the last chapter they're on a yacht getting ready to get married but to me it just fell flat. There was NO mention of what Evie's dress looked like, there were no vows exchanged. It ends with Barron Sterling walking Evie down the aisle to Nate, that's IT!!!!! We don't get epilogue letting us know anything about the baby or Evie's relateship with her mom. It would have been nice to know the sex of the baby and how Nate and Evie were doing.
