I really liked Drake and Cami's story and addition to this dragon shifter series!
Characters Drake and Cami made a fiery pair. Drake believes himself to be dying from lack of a mate and Cami was previously saved by Drake from a fire before she showed dragon signs. The chemistry was really well written. I really loved Cami's feisty personality. She was just stubborn enough to put up with Drake and his sullen, grumpy dragon self. The pacing was really fast and made this dragon shifter romance easy to read.
Overall Overall, this was a good story within this series. I loved the chemistry between Drake and Cami and how this story lead up to the new series. I love that the series are connected with books before, but you don't have to read the previous book to know everything that's going on. There's always bits of recap in the beginning and interspersed throughout the story. I highly recommend reading previous books though, because you will gain deeper insight into each character and have more of a connection to them and their journey. I can't wait to read the next book in the series and see more stories about the dragon enforcers.
Thank you so much to Entangled Publishing and NetGalley for allowing me the opportunity to read this digital ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Drake is sick and knows he's dying. He leaves the Hurcan team and turns to a former enemy for a place to die. There is meets Camilla again. He rescued her and her family during a wildfire. Drake feels better when he's near her, but refuses to believe that she is his mate. They have to go back to help her family, and The Alliance is interfering with stuff again. When will these guys go away. Maybe the other series (Inferno Rising) and the new kings will get rid of them.
