To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness.
The story gets a little old after the thousandth time you've read it, but the fact that my son wanted to read it so much was a testament to how much he loves this book. It's great for reinforcing colors. Basically it's just a cat going around collecting colors. The language is more advanced than you usually find in a children's book (e.g. "Cat gazed into the sparkling black cosmos") but there is only one sentence per page, so the kids don't lose interest.
When the book arrived, I was worried because the story seemed lame to me. However, my 3-year-old granddaughter loves it. Her grandfather read it to her the first time, and because the pictures are so descriptive and the number of words is small, she is now "reading" the story to him.
