After reading a glowing review in the FT I imagine reading a unbiased retrospective of the last 2 years in US presidential and national Politic's! Instead it is a partisan biased boring badly written mess! I am no Trump fan but they are so pro Biden it is laughable considering he is now being view universally even by his own party as a disastrous president. Save yourself the money and buy anything else!

What did I dislike. The book never explained the disdain/hate that the Democratic Party felt for Donald Trump from the moment he rode down the escalator. Pelosi should have been fined for her conduct at the State of the Union speech. What a lack of professionalism. Hilary and her cadre of FBI and DOJ traitors weren’t held accountable for the “Russian Collusion “ hoax. The media was never held accountable for burying Hunter Biden’s name trading. Joe Biden is not a unifier. He is in fact the most divisive president in our history. Where this book has some interesting insights, the obvious bias against Trump makes you question they are true or not. The actual writing itself (not the content) I found to be relatively fast paced. It jumped around a bit. I would have given it a higher rating if it wasn’t so biased.

Apples and Oranges are both fruit, but they are not equal. There is an undeniable partisan slant that I found unfair in many instances and lacking context by omission -- and since they don't name the sources that are disparaging of the new administration -- I am left to chalk it up from a minor, to an egregious, disinformation campaign. When writing of the former administration, the events and unnamed sources are well known to the public by now (part of the public would call the authors rinos). This is gossip and rumor. I will make a concerted effort to avoid anything written by these authors in the future.

The lowest life on planet earth, with one exception - politicians! The exception is reporters. An administration that cared less about our country, 100% of them in it for nothing but power and money. Given power money flows like blood, given money power is easily bought. An insane conman, grifters and all those who feed on their weaknesses. Our Constitution has a carveout for the press, but we really no longer have a press that it accepted, we have another bunch of cons and grifters - they all knew this administration was a collection of lawbreakers, but revealed very little until they could cash in. Just different groups of thieves. Really sorry I contributed.

This is mostly an anti Trump, anti Kevin McCarthy polemic with some juicy gossip thrown in. I was expecting more balance, I don't know why. Anybody who follows politics and current events knows most of the negative stuff about Trump and McCarthy, and it's all true. But the uncritical, almost laughable, super positive coverage of Biden and the democrats was annoying. I could watch MSNBC or CNN to get that stuff. I give it 2 stars only because there was some good behind the scenes gossip about some of the personal conflicts

Well written. No sense whatsoever of being evenhanded. Orangeman superbad. Joe Biden so good, and fair and well intentioned. No mention at all of The Laptop from Hell. With Covid-19, Trump's oxygen saturation "plummeted" to 95. Most people would be thrilled to be above 95 - let alone 95. It's this kind of hyper bias that puts the writers' credibility in serious question.

Virtually all of the pre publication promoting about this book centered on voice tapes extremely embarrassing to K M Carthy. But he is rarely mentioned in the book. Instead, the book is a report of Biden's first year. Most of what is reported could have appeared in the Times or Post It's a slow reading g slog.

Since they were on CNN promoting the book so much I read nothing new in the book that I had an already heard on CNN I felt like I could’ve just watched it on TV and save the money and not bought the book they were no surprises like I said everything at already been set on TV I was very disappointed in this book

I am liberal leaning but I do believe as much as I detest Trump there is bias toward him in this book. President Biden takes some hits as does Vice President Harris but overall this book was a waste of my time. I learned little if nothing from reading it. I do not recommend it.
