Mixes homemade liquid laundry detergent.

Was looking for something simply to mix homemade laundry detergent and saw that someone else bought this for the same thing. It does work very well for that. It has to sit for 24 hours after you first make the stuff and then it becomes a fairly heavy gelatinous blob. I make a big batch and stirring the stuff was just more than I could handle after trying egg beaters, spoons taped to my power drill, etc. This takes care of it. I may even use to mix paint some day.

I wasn't impress with this mixer at all. The size is great, and red is an awesome color, but that's it. The mixer blew apart the first time I used it to mix some floor leveling compound, which is no harder than drywall mud to mix.

It would probably work great for paint, but I wouldn't suggest it for any mud

I bought this because it resembled a mixing head from a DIY video I seen. Images portray it as 5-7inches (as the one I seen).
This thing is tiny, at a mere 3.5inches or so. What a joke. Looking further into the specifications my wife pointed out it has the size in centimeters.
Since when did every product become "you should have checked the specs!" If the dumb advertising were better (a proper picture for scale) life would be easier.
1 of 5 stars for making such a simple thing a pain in the rear! I haven't even used it yet! It'll probably let me down there too.

Fits a need

First off let me just say that those of you familiar with the concepts of:
A) Buying online and
B) Tools
Will know right off the bat that its:
A) Very easy to overstate the quality of something online and
B) "Heavy duty" and a sub-5 dollar price tag rarely line up in reality (note how every tool at the dollar store is labelled "heavy duty"?)

To that end, this mixer works, but is far from heavy duty. In its first use the spot weld from one of the angled/corkscrew looking metal pieces detached from the base. But!
- It was $5.
- It mixes the viscous solutions I need it to in 8-10L batches (thicker than paint)
- It doesn't splash
- Its much better than stirring manually.

Just keep in mind that if you're going to order one might as well order two. You're still under 10 bucks and won't curse the online ordering gods if it falls apart one day when you're ready to paint.

It was almost exactly what i wanted, i thought it being a hexangonal shaft in cross section would have the quick release and attachment like all of my impact driver bits have. So it is 4 out 5 stars. It will work fine. I am going to grind the end to be for my impact driver. For those users with drill drivers this is fine.
Why i prefer to use impact driver? Impact drivers have constant torque whereas drill drivers just have speed and modest but variable torque under load. This is a good product. Well made with good welds. Recommend buying it.

We wanted a not so expensive mixer to mix joint compound with our impact driver that needed a specific hex size. So happy we found this cuz it mixed the compound pretty well. Tip: don't try to mix too much joint compound cuz this won't work then. It works well with mixing a little amount ..maybe like 5 -6 scoops from ur trowel

This saved me lots of elbow grease when I was mixing 80 pounds of concrete. It was strong enough to handle that.

And I have to laugh at the poor Tracy who reviewed this in 2018 and said she couldn't get it to fit into her drill because of the piece of plastic on the end of it. Oh my GOD. How has this woman managed to survive this long. Dear Tracy. That plastic is so that stores can hang this thing on the hooks on the wall. Little hint my poor lady, TAKE THAT PIECE OF PLASTIC OFF !!!! Pull. Jesus.

I got this to mix libidinous hydroponic nutrients for multiple 5 gallon buckets. Worked great for that but can’t comment for heavier applications since, for all intent and purposes, I am just mixing water. Great price though and I didn’t have to leave my house to get it.

sadly months later i found the exact same item, and i mean EXACT same item, for under four dollars in my local hardware store. they had been out of stock apparently due to pandemic. seems like a decent item, it did what i needed it to do, just grossly overpriced. buyer beware.

Worked great. Start slow, especially if the can use 3/4 full or more. Mixes great and was super easy to clean. Needed an old toothbrush or paper towels to get the small areas but most paint just rinsed with warm water.

I’d buy again but doubt I’d ever have too.
