To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness.
They're New but they don't have any scent. I guess they put the regular ones in my box but other than that I needed some new ones anyway because my old ones were fithy an nasty with all type of gunk. I should get a refund for the difference of the freebreeze an baking soda since they do cost more than the regular ones
Fits my 2002 Silverado LS 5.3L vortec RWD, extended cab. Very simple install, DON'T remove the third bolt closest to the driver side of the under dash shield, you can move it out of the way without taking it all the way off, saving you a headache trying to line the cover back up again. Doesn't have a "fresh breeze" smell and I can still smell the dirty air of city driving, but still a HUGE upgrade from what I had in there. Basically a pile of dirt and leaves with some filter in the middle. Air flow is superb.
Had this filter replaced in our 2002 Chevy PU and it cost $70 plus! Decided to try and do it ourselves and it wasn't that hard. Found some info on the internet on how to install and it really was pretty simple. Less that $30 to do it ourselves. If you happen to be a big guy like my husband, it helps to have a smaller-handed, mechanically inclined wife to get up under the dash for the last one or two screws. Really wasn't that difficult, but check the internet first for some tips.
Build quality is fine, the 2 halves to a whole makes the filter much easier to install. Though being a carbon filter, I was hoping it would do a better job of stopping outside odors / particulates. We're in wild fire season and the smell coming through the vests was quite potent
I see I'm not the only one who thought it would take 2 of these filters to replace my old ones. Amazon needs to make that clearer in the description. Now its going to cost me half of what I spent on the second one to send it back. I'm happy about that but I am happy that I changed these filters. My old ones looked like they had been there awhile. Good product I would gladly give 5 stars if I were receiving a full refund.
Haven’t seen any drastic results but I put them in my Olds Bravada which did not come from the factory with filters but still has a compartment for them. If you have a trailblazer you can do this mod with them!
