Good enough!
My '02 Ford explorer sport is showing its age, but this did the trick.
Just as good / durable as factory if not a little thicker to handle.
No doubt the springs will rust out again but it took this long for the oem to bust, so meh.
Not much you can do about being easy to install. At least you can do it yourself with a little video instruction. Do watch more than one, they have good tricks to cut the labor. I would recommend a few, but I watched them all because of the odd model/year.
Synopsis:
Pop switch trim and remove switch connectors.
Pop secret inside handle panel.
Remove 7/16"/5.5mm trim screws.
Pop trim (good luck getting it back on).
WITH WINDOW ROLLED UP drop window track of side opposite hinge.
Unsnap yellow lock release lever coupler with a curved pick or a pair of thin needle nose (mind your wrists, it's sharp where you have to cram your arms in).
Pound/drill out old rivets.
Replacement is intuitive if you've gone this far.
Also, strongly recommend some lock nuts / locking hardware to install. Would have been nice to include with the part. Might have to redo in a couple of weeks since I didn't, but I think I sunk the fasteners into the plastic enough to stick.
Color match doesn't matter when you've been crawling in through the passenger side for 2 weeks. There's your value for money.
All in all, wish I would have done this sooner.

DO NOT BUY! Get the 1A auto all metal handles (Exterior Door Handle Pair - 1ADHS01625) that Amazon sells.
Even though the Amazon fitment said the door handle would not fit a 2001 Ford Explorer Sport,
IT DID. It would be a VERY GOOD IDEA to search a couple of sites to get your fitment information,
as I have found over the past 20 years, that the Amazon fitment application is only right about 50% of the time. So check
out a couple of sites for the right part, and then come back to Amazon for your purchase.
This part should fit (at a minimum) 01-05 Ford explorers, whatever flavor they are.
These parts are ALL plastic, and will break sooner or later.
The same part fits both right and left doors, which is obvious from the two spring arms (you only use one Via whatever
side you are on).
The part (in my case) was a real pain to put in, as Ford decided to not supply a cutout in the area next to the door lock/latch,
which is where you will be working, so made my own holes. This is not true for most of the explorers, and my friend (his Ford)
just lucked out; NOT!
The handle will require two 1/4 inch pop rivets to reinstall, and most DIY'rs do not carry a pneumatic unit to handle this large a rivet.
An actuator rod is fed into one of the arm holes, the handle and rod are then fed into place, and the bottom threaded end of the rod is then
laid into a yellow snap fitting. The snap fitting is a pain. A MAJOR POINT to take into account, is that the actuator rod needs to be pushed up as you snap it into the yellow fitting, as when opening the door, the lever action is DOWN, so you want as much of this down motion as you can get, or the door will not open. To complete the installation, once you see everything works, go ahead and pop rivet, or screw and nut the handle into place.
BOTH RIGHT AND LEFT HANDLES BROKE WITHIN TWO MONTHS.

Fit our 2000 Mercury Mountaineer V8 automatic. Used on drivers side front door (old door handle broke, very common for these vehicles). Removing original rivets can be time consuming, but replacing with nuts and bolts will make life much easier if you have to change again in the future. New door handle is not painted. Good buy.
