To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness.
Bold, dark, smooth. Just opening the bag sent delectable shivers coursing through my body. The aroma is dreamy. The first sip has the power to melt away the morning frost that has encased your soul during the night. It’s life-giving power awakens the sleepy beast that resides within, fueling you with the carnal energy to conquer any obstacle that charges at you. Do not fear it’s mystic magic, embrace it. Embrace it and rule the world.
I try a lot of coffees. So you know where I am coming from, bitter does not equal flavor, and while burnt is a flavor, I don't find it to be a good flavor. That being said I aim for coffee that doesn't taste bitter or burnt. Starbucks is an example of both bitter and burnt coffee. This rates right up there with my favorite, lion coffee. I put these 2 on par, both very affordable and very smooth tasting. A GOOD coffee can be made strong without tasting bitter. I know people who think starbucks is "full of flavor" and if that's your thing great but in my opinion they are confusing, or have become accustomed to burned coffee and lacking that acrid burnt taste, think there is no flavor. If that's your thing you won't likely like this coffee. I am very happy with this coffee and will be trying more flavors from Cameron's to be sure.
My wife and I have enjoyed Cameron's coffees for years now. Toasted Southern Pecan has been our favorite. I noticed Highlander Grog for the first time, when I needed to reorder. We loved it! There are few brands, that compare to Cameron's. It is always rich, with natural tasting flavors, that are not to weak. I highly recommend it, whether you like flavored coffee or natural specialty coffees.
This is great coffee, but I won't do the subscription again. The price went up almost $5 overnight. Stopping my subscription and gonna look for a better deal. That is a huge jump in price and you don't get a notification of a price change. So if you don't stay on top of your purchases you get snickered. The whole point of the automatic shipments was so I didn't have to worry about staying on top of it. I'm ok with a reasonable increase, but I didn't feel this was reasonable.
I am not one to like the taste of coffee at all. I hate the bitter after taste etc and usually have to add a TON of creamer to make it drinkable. I recently started a new diet which limited my ability to use creamer. I decided to try this coffee since it was labeled as 'Light Roast' and it was by far the best decision! I can drink almost any flavor of the Cameron's Coffee completely black! I even enjoy it!
I have been trying several of the flavors of this brand since purchasing the one with cinnamon and loved it. I have had several guests comment on how good it is and enquire what brand it is. I plan to purchase several as Christmas gifts as it seems each flavor is consistantly full in both body flavor. You can tell you're drinking something, not like thin watery feeling coffee. It makes a great cup of coffee in body, texture and flavor is usually in any flavor I have tried. The cost is GREAT too. I didn't care as much myself for this flavor but I'm sure that is due to my personal taste because again, a guest commented on how the coffee was and wanted to know the brand. The 4 stars reflect my personal taste buds. It just seemed to be a bit odd but still good coffee.
This coffee deserved million five star reviews!!! So here I go ...
I drink flavored coffee for years and like trying different ones or even made one of my own (nope not doing it again). I tried just about everything available in the market and while there are a few that still on my to buy list, our staple, MUST HAVE IN THE HOUSE is Cameron Highlander Grog. (It used to be eggs one the fridge). Cameron coffee is smooth, added flavors of rum with butterscotch, caramel, and vanilla and I’m settled. Unless there is some new interesting flavor ( not name. don’t fall for those fancy names) coffee come out in the market, I won’t be buying anything else.
Great flavor and body. A bit strong (for my taste), so I just don't fill the k-cup filter all the way to the top and it's great (medium size setting). Good buy.
UPDATE: 2/18/21 Love, love, love this coffee. I thought at first the flavor might be too subtle, but it's just right for the long haul, if you know what I mean. I also recommend the following, which I also purchased on Amazon (in case you, too, like this coffee and think our tastes might be similar): Kauai Hawaiian Ground Coffee, Coconut Caramel Crunch, 10 Ounce, and Crazy Cups Flavored DECAF Ground coffee: French Toast Cinnamon Coffee, 10 Ounce/3-pack. The Kauai coffee is a little bit more expensive, but not a lot, and the Crazy Cups Decaf is a really good buy (I get the 3-pack). I'm writing this same review update for those two coffees, also, and am recommending the Cameron's in those reviews.
UPDATE 6/13/21: After several months, I continue to like these coffees very much. The ones I thought a bit strong no longer seem too strong to me.
