Okay let's be real for the price I knew i wasn't going to get the best TV in the world. I expected and average product but I also expected it to last a while. After two years the TV just won't turn on anymore which is sad because it was only used a couple times a week for the time that I had it. Will certainly be buying a replacement from a different company. Bottom line- don't buy if you're looking to use for an extended period of time.
This thing's a piece of junk. We bought it for the bedroom of our 5th wheel. Had it for 14 months now. 4-5 months ago it started randomly having a tiny picture near the top left of the screen, about 20 percent ,the rest of the screen black.this just got worse and worse. You can find a 22" Insignia 1080 P HD TV for under $60.00 bucks and get an AC/DC converter all day long for another 10. Never again.
I bought this TV with high hopes, particularly given the pitch that it's 1080p and HD. Wow, was I disappointed! The picture quality was poor, and very poor if you watch at any angle other than directly in front of it. The sound quality was also very poor -- tinny and insufficient volume. But here's the good news: (1) The non-Amazon seller (The Wires Zone) send me a free UPS mailing label, I shipped it back to them, and they refunded me in full, and (2) After returning it, I bought the "Samsung UN19F4000 19-Inch 720p 60Hz LED TV (2013 Model)" and that one I RECOMMEND. The Samsung is FAR superior in all aspects -- fine picture (even when viewed at an angle it is watchable) and sound, with similar features, even though it's only 720p and is the 2013 model (it is now 2016)! The only feature lacking in the Samsung that was available in the SuperSonic is the ability to play it using a DC source; so obviously if you need that, you may be stuck with the SuperSonic; if not, get the Samsung.
Bought for use in our camper because it had 12V compatibility. 12V worked fine, but the tuner in these units got only the strongest of signals. It would probably be fine with cable, or if you live "right-next-door" to the television station. Have since purchased a RCA 12v and they have a much better tuner. Using the same amplified antenna, the RCA brought in 26 stations compared to 3 with this unit.
all excited for this TV for the kitchen. set it up, connect to cable, easy peasy. Except there is a 3 inch wide line running top to bottom about 1/3 the way in on the left. Called the number provided for technical support who walked me through a "hard reset" to find the screen is internally damaged and the TV needs to be replaced. now I am hesitant to replace with the same brand..
