Distinct and flavourful

I really live this seasoning. It is unique in flavour, but is very delightful. The quality seems to be very good. I've pre-seasoned several bags of chicken, since they give you quite a lot for an extremely reasonable price. I would definitely recommend this seasoning and I'm going to try more products.

Bad surprise!

The best surprise is no surprise. I have used Indian spice mixes for over 20 years and this is the first one that is not only disappointing, it is plain bad. The cumin is overpowering and the after taste is bitter. This is nothing compared to the most humble of Masala paid 1/4 of the price for the same amount. Buy at your own risk.

I was excited to receive this item. I live in a small town where such spices are hard to find without driving 60+ miles. Unfortunately once I got the lid off I noticed the seal was open and looking at the stain on the lid I’d say it didn’t happen upon me opening it. It smells nice, but with an open seal I can’t feel safe serving it. I attempted to do an exchange and when I clicked on “replace or return” was given the response “this item isn’t returnable”. I’m very frustrated and afraid to try again. I guess I’ll be driving that 60+ miles hoping to find garam masala.

I was so excited receiving this item, because I really love to cook curry, so, today I open the package and the item was wrapped with a Saran Wrap and when I opened the lid, the seal was open. I was so scared to even touch it! Who knows what’s in there!!

Poor Allergen Labeling and After Sales Support

I ordered this product when I realized I didn't have any Garam Masala in my spice rack and did not find an alternative available in my local supermarket.

The product arrived on time, however, the allergen label does not match what is displayed on the Amazon website, and the text in the updated label is so small, it is not readable even under magnification! The list of allergens seems longer than what is shown online, so I called the LONG DISTANCE number on the bottle to confirm what changed. Instead of a live customer service rep, I ended up in a generic voice mail box both times I called. I left a message regarding my inquiry, and have yet to receive a response, this was nearly a week ago.

I have two children with specific allergens that are severe. If I cannot confirm what is in the product, it is useless to me and will be ending up in the trash! This is unfortunate, because the product smells great, however, it is not worth risking anaphylaxis simply because a company can't label their products appropriately for allergens or respond to an inquiry regarding the same.

I, like many who have written reviews also, received the product today and the tamper seal was not there. I have no idea if this product was used or tampered with. For something I am eating, I do not feel comfortable with this. I would recommend to avoid purchasing for peace of mind. I have contacted the seller. Depending on their response, I will update the review accordingly.

Firstly this curry powder is far too hot, it is meant to be aromatic and it certainly isn't. It also tastes old and musty... The fact that that there is no date stamp on the container speaks for itself. A big disappointment.

3/4 bag one spice!

What was shown: a wonderful mix of different spices. Big chunks of cinnamon, pods of different spices. A perfect blend of spice.

What I got: a few scraps of cinnamon, one or two pods of spices... And an entire bag of The tiny oblong rice looking spice.

I know it has a legal disclaimer... But seriously? I got 1/4 bag of mixed spices and 3/4 bag of ONE spice. ONE! At least they can make the effort to package it a little more carefully and not fill the bag with the cheapest spice (not saying they did. It just looks like that is what they were doing. Not too sure of how the spice prices pan out. However, when you get 3/4 of a bag just of ONE SPICE, You have to wonder if that is what they are doing). I will never be buying this again. I wanted a mix. I got one spice.
