I picked this particular TV because it is 12 VDC capable plus it has an included DVD player. It is perfect to install in an RV. Picture quality is as expected. It is a nice unit overall. Of course, the sound quality is terrible but that is par for the course in these TVs. I added a Bluetooth transmitter and a quality Bluetooth speaker -- sound problem solved.
We purchased this TV for our RV. So far, the picture and sound quality are good. The viewing range is really good as we set it up in the middle of the room and the kids watch from their bunks on either side of it. The sound is plenty good enough for RV use. The DVD player works perfectly and we like that we can switch it to a 12V television if ever we need to. We are very happy with our purchase.
I wanted a 24-inch screen that could serve both as an over-the-air HDTV and as a desktop computer monitor. It was imperative that the TV was 1080 and not 720p because I did not want to be cramped in a 1366 x 768 desktop. Most small TVs are 720p and most monitors of this size that are 1080p don't have TV tuner.
So I ended up taking the chance on this SuperSonic TV which promised what I've been looking for.
PROS * TV tuner works fine. * Remote control has too many buttons but is still easy to use. * DVD player. I wasn't looking for one but it's there and it works well. * USB and SD card media playback is a nice bonus. * Has a fully functional screen reader for the visually impaired and it can be toggled on and off with one button on the TV remote.
CONS * Sound quality is awful. If you intend to do any serious movie watching, better invest in some external speakers. (wired, no Bluetooth or WiFi support) * Colors look washed out. This is not a screen anyone should use for their computer, especially if they really depend on color accuracy. For watching the news on TV it's perfectly fine though. * TV is 1080i but PC Monitor's native resolution (via HDMI at least) is 1366 x 768, not 1920 x 1080.
Used so far for 4 nights in our new camper and it does what it’s supposed to do. Love the DVD player built in and the 12v option (cord included with my 24” TV) Like most people have stated the sound is pretty bad. It works if you have no other noise around but if its raining on the camper, AC unit is on or anything else its almost impossible to hear anything anything even turned all the way up to 100. Will look as external speakers to plug into TV but overall it does what I was looking for. Just make sure to switch to DVD mode before trying to load and DVD it does not automatically switch when loading a disc like my last TV and will not even load the disc unless the mode is switched.
