Everyone raved about this book and I wanted to love it. Some (not all) of the language (tone wise) made me uncomfortable. I don’t think it’s appropriate to scare kids into veganism.
I wish this was like most of the pages, which are beautiful and fun. But then some pages aren’t.

I am a vegan and I accidentally purchsed 2 copies of this. My grandson is intrigued by the pictures and wants me to read it. The text is too horrific and too stupid to read to a 3 year old. I regret this purchase. I am looking for VEGAN children's books. This one is definitely NOT for my kids. For "E" It says Eggs come out of a chicken's ass. And, some of the descriptions of factory farming practices are too brutal for a 3 year old. or a 5 year old.

Wanted to love this book but it just wasn't good. By letter "E" I knew it wasn't what I had hoped. "E is for Eggs that come out a chicken's butt." Seriously the writer couldn't come up with something better?? M is for Meat.....coconut meat. Again, falls short of expectations. Overall I found it to be lame and snotty. Not how I want to be represented as a vegan.

I am a vegan and father who thought that this book would provide simple pictures and words regarding being vegan. Im all about the message and way of life, but this book is pure propaganda too much for a child. This is adult information worded for children that is way too aggresive.

I thought this might be a subtle book that presents a way of life that I agree with but it beats you over the head with it. I’m trying to raise intelligent free thinking children. This book scares me. We sent it back even though it was basically no refund after the shipping costs to return.
