If I had a grandchild, I'd love to read this to him and make sure s/he knew I felt just the same as Aviva. Sometimes, it's nice to have someone else come up with the lovely words. And the pictures were great.
When I first read this, it was on my phone and I couldn't find my reading glasses so I grabbed a magnifying glass. For some reason, the pictures became 3-D! Didn't work when i found my glasses, but I'm curious if others will see the same neat effect if they use a magnifying glass, too! Doubt that Aviva and Carlos intended this, but it was a neat bonus in enjoying it.
"In Nana's Arms: A beautiful poem of love for Grandma" written by author Aviva Gittle and illustrated by Carlos Brito is a lovely story about a Nana and her grandson. Young readers will enjoy the delightful rhyming words along with the bright and colorful illustrations.
(I received a free copy kindle version of this book that was offered by the author through a contest she held.)
After reading "The Boy Who Bounced To The Moon" I looked for other e-books by Aviva Gittle and found this one-- apparently the first in the series, "I Love My Nana." Who else but a real nana could so clearly depict the unique relationship between grandparent and grandchild? Aviva Gittle has dedicated this beautiful ode to her own grandson, Louis, who she attests has brought her "boundless joy with just a smile." Indeed.
This is a sweet rhyming book about the love of a Nana for her grandchild. Nanas or grandmas everywhere will enjoy reading this story to their grandchildren. Grandchildren are the most precious little people that parents can bestow on their own parents.
The illustrations are brilliantly colorful and vibrant and eye catching. Children will love this sweet story.
I am anxiously awaiting the birth of my first grand-child, and can hardly wait until I am able to share all of the feelings expressed in this book with my new grand-baby. There is something special and easy about the grand-parent - grand-child relationship, and this book catches it.
