OMG! Scotland's Nairn's gluten free oat grahams win honorary designation as supreme tastebud seducer! The packaging is sexy with all the right information and ethical considerations... the grahams have a perfect texture and spot on flavor and I can't get enough of them. When they arrived, I non-chalantly opened the box and out slid into my hungry little palm, a mini pack of grahams (4 packs to a box)... Suddenly I was filled with ravenous excitement, like a flash, I peeled open the pack and took my first bite. Oh, this is no attempt at a gluten free substitute, this is in fact a masterfully crafted delectable little treat that filled me with long suppressed memories of graham cookies, s'mores and various tasty things spread on traditional grahams that now pale in comparison to these ... These bringers of delight, these precious packs of joy... That are now hidden away deep in the cupboard, my little secret... And an extra pack stashed in the glove box of my car for those private moments when you just need comforting, belly pleasing yumyums.
I am celiac, and have certainly missed having graham crackers. When I was a kid I used to eat graham crackers with milk like cereal in the mornings. Then there is the whole issue of the gluten free 'graham cracker' crusts available for purchase..... these were so yummy I ate the whole box before experimenting with recipes, but I look forward to trying that too.
I like these better than the Schar brand and here's why- these have a slightly sweeter 'true graham' flavor that Schar is lacking. The texture is slightly rustic, and they are crisp and soft at the same time, like a 'real' graham cracker. They are excellent with coffee and not crumbly so I think they could also be used for s'mores.
When my sister and I visited Charleston she got what she described as "the best Key lime pie EVER" at a coffee shop, and we have visited Key West so that was saying a lot! Of course I was jealous bc my gluten intolerance prevented me from even trying a bite, but what made it outstanding was they used very finely chopped pecans in addition to the graham crackers in the crust. Now I have a way to replicate that in a GF way, and I don't have to be stuck using the cardboard GF store bought crusts any more!! Yay!
Buying several boxes on reorder to allow for the 'yum factor' that I know will have me consuming at least one box before I get to making the crust for the pie.
Boy, these really taste good. For someone that can't or doesn't eat wheat/gluten Graham crackers, these are a nice substitute. I bought these to make smores. They turned out perfect! These have similar texture to regular Graham crackers, just a tad more like a crunchy cookie, but have that sweet Graham flavor just the same. Perfect for gluten free diets and recipes or if you'd just like to try an Oat Graham Cracker! They come four cookies packed together sealed in plastic wrap. There are four cookie packs per box for a total of sixteen cookies. So, these are great in packed lunches for school or whenever. No need to put crackers in and waste a ziploc bag since they are perfectly packed for you all ready to go. Recommended!
Best gluten free, (might contain dairy) 'graham' crackers we've ever tasted. My hubby became gluten & dairy intolerant after a severe virus. He's getting used to his dietary restrictions, but we are constantly trying new products in our quest to find gluten free items that taste like wheat. I taste test the food too.
Naim's Gluten Free Oat Grahams, Original taste just like graham crackers to us. They break a little easier but that's about the only difference. They are not gritty like some gluten free products.
This will be our go to gluten free, graham cracker.
I love graham crackers, but gluten hates me. I "sneak" them sometimes when I can't stand it. Especially with cream cheese! I am so glad to have found these!! As most people agree, finding good tasting gluten free "grain" foods is often a miss more than hit venture. I hit it with these! They are so much more graham-y than I'd expected. A slightly subtler taste, but so yummy! I also like that they are not quite as hard-crunchy as regular grahams. And, the size & shape is so much less messy & easier eating. Yes, they are expensive. But, obviously, there's no way a company can make any profit with (what I don't think is exaggerating) 5-10% of the sales of regular, large company non-gluten free crackers. So, everybody, buy more & the prices will come down!
If you cannot have gluten, and miss the comfort and satisfaction of eating graham crackers as a child, these cookies will rock your world! These cookies are absolutely delicious, have a satisying crunch, and are actually better than the gluten-containing wheat version. They have the perfect touch of sweetness, and they are a comfort food and special treat all rolled into one. The downside is that they are so expensive that I have to eat them sparingly, but I absolutely love them. They come four cookies to a package, four packages to a box. The last box I received had new packaging for the individual packs, and it was an improvement - stronger and more appealing, with nutrition stats and ingredients listed on each package. Try these! You’ll be hooked!
Dang these are good! I bought them to use as a gluten free graham cracker cheesecake crust. I had previously tried some other gluten free grahams, those turned into a soggy mess as a crust. These however, were PERFECT! Absolutely no one could tell the crust was gluten free. I had a few packs left and I’ve eaten them with coffee. As an oatmeal product they are actually filling as well, so they could take the place of a small, quick breakfast. Now I’m buying a few boxes to keep at my lakehouse to use with s’mores, which I’m so excited for because I haven’t had a s’more since my celiac diagnosis 4 years ago. It is always so exciting to find a delicious gluten free product to take the place of the foods that I miss so much. I will be ordering the other varieties as well! I have already recommended them to my celiac friends. And side note, of both boxes of cookies I received, not even one cookie was broken. Good job on the packaging!
I've been gluten free for 10 years and these satisfied a craving I just haven't been able fill. I got these at a little gourmet boutique while on a road trip. I was soooo glad to see them on Amazon. However there is a slight difference in the ingredients. My first package says 'Sustainable Palm Oil' and the Amazon version is 'Palm Oil' so that's very disappointing. These are incredibly delicious - a little dry like shortbread but with a slight graham taste. I don't have a strong sweet tooth so these were absolutely the perfect treat for me, or a light breakfast. My 12 year old granddaughter likes them too.
