Great product, very durable. The cut outs on the rear of the fabric are not exact, don't trust them. Found out on the left side and the bed light cut out was off by 1/4 inch, so on the right side I did the cut outs once the bedrug was firmly in place. The cut outs are for all the tie down hardware in the bed and also the bed lights. The instructions are vague but I watched a U-TUBE video and it was very thorough, except for the cutout explanation.
I really like the Bedrug itself; but the installation instructions and the poor quality velcro stick tape leave a lot to be desired. If you religiously follow the instructions, you find that the marks for where the tape goes on the Bedrug backing can be unambiguously identified for maybe 1/4 of the points indicated. You're pretty much "on your own" to figure it out; but it doesn't really matter a whole lot. What does matter is the quality of the sticky tape that loses adhesion after a couple of months in the FL sun. With an alcohol clean of the truck bed/gate, I got about 3 mos before I had to replace the tape on the tailgate (which separated from the backing of the Bedbug and not the tailgate). Velcro extreme outdoor tape seems to be a good replacement (lasted so far longer than the original...)
This is one of the best upgrades I have made over the years in truck accessories. I must warn you though this is a very painstaking installation if your in the slightest an OCD person. The instructions are horrible with little to no explanation of the steps to install. I recommend you watch any videos you can find on YouTube ect. I also recommend if at all possible to zip the side wall to the bottom OUTSIDE of the truck bed. If you are installing this inside a garage and space is limited I recommend that you clean the adjoining space in the garage and assemble on the floor then flip over and drop into place. After that the installation is time consuming but after your done you will without a doubt be very pleased with the completed installation.
Watch numerous YouTube install videos before attempting install. Because of side mounted panels for cargo mount system and cargo strap lugs, my Ford F150, 2019, 6.5 bed presented some issues that had to be accounted for. After following the video suggestions on install, taking my time, the finished product is outstanding and will function well with my Leer topper. In fact the topper liner is of the same material and color as BedRug. Really a good match and looks great. Very functional for hauling, comfortable on old knees, and will work out well for camping out of truck bed. Will provide a layer of insulation for such. Highly recommended product and I purchased this for some $60 less than regular price through Amazon.
I have never seen so much attention drawn to a truck bed before in my life. EVERYONE had something to say when they saw the BedRug covering the bed of my F-150. It makes sense, it's a great product!
INSTALLATION - Installing the BedRug wasn't a problem at all. It came in big, separate pieces for the floor of the bed and sides. Double sided tape was provided and the instructions were clear on where to cut for the lights and tie downs. It took under 2 hours. My only complaint is it's not taped from end to end, they came in pieces. However, I never had a problem with it pulling up or coming loose.
The BedRug provides some friction which minimizes sliding objects in the bed. It's actually slightly cushioned and is comfortable to lay down on! Cleaning wasn't a problem either, it can easily be powerwashed clean or even brushed out (depending on the material).
The bedrug can help with every task your truck is up to. A soft cozy place to sit during a drive in movie. A gentle surface when moving more delicate items. Sturdy enough to take on working tasks and trips to the hardware store. Easily swept out or vacuumed. The bedrug.com website can give you the full details of the product. When we bought a new truck with a longer bed, we knew we had to have it. It kept our leased truck's bed in pristine condition, and we definitely put it through the test over the course of the 3 year lease. It is in great condition after 3 years of use.
Decent kit, fit and finish not perfect. Instructions pretty sparse, had to watch several videos to understand how all the velcro pieces are aplied. Not long enough velcro strips for the vertical sides at the back of the bed, those three small pieces leave the cover bulging and not flat. Also, could not insert the liner in all places under the bed caps, leaving some of the liner at the top with some gaps.
High quality product. Well made. Fit perfectly. Follow directions and the install goes well. Love the cushion when I have to kneel in the bed floor. Cleans up well. Best solution for how we use our F150 bed, to haul stuff, helps protect the items. We put our heavy ball hitch in it one trip and it left a permanent indentation in the bottom of the Bedliner. Only disappointment so far. We do not haul dirt or gravel or rock in it.
The velcro didn’t stick so well, but a non issue for me as the new F150 has 4 tie down anchors that you take out before installing and then get bolted back into place clamping it to the bed. Perfect if your truck is a “gin and tonic” truck like mine. Prolly not the best choice if you’re running a landscaping company, but for my light duty use, ideal. Stuff does not slide around at all.
