I haven't yet read this book, so this review has nothing to do with the contents. I'm leaving a 1 star because although I ordered this book new, it was damaged upon arrrival. There was nothing wrong with the shipping box itself, but when I opened it, I noticed the sleeve was torn and crumpled and some of the pages were bent in.

5.0 out of 5 stars Incredible book with lots of practical advice

After reading "The Lean Startup", I did have a good idea on the lean movement and pattern that founders should follow to build theirs products. What I was lacking, however, is more of a step-by-step breakdown of what the process actually looks like starting from the idea to the first release. In his book, Dan covers a lot of those concepts with practical examples from identifying target customers to testing your MVP and iterating. I also found a lean product case study and agile tips in the end of the book incredibly helpful!
I highly recommend Dan's book to people who are after building great meaningful products and am very thankful to have come across it myself.

5.0 out of 5 stars The only Product Management book you'll need

I’ve read a number of Product Management books and “The Lean Product Playbook” is the only one that’s been able to clearly articulate what the role is and the value it brings.

The book covers everything you need to know, including: lean methodologies, human entered design, agile development and analytics. Of particular interest to me was the relationship between Product Management and Design. Olsen discusses in detail how the two roles partner with and support each other. His problem space and solution space framework was especially useful.

Thanks Dan!

The most useful what to do and how to do map to follow to successfully implement the Lean Start Up methodology. It takes all the components and breaks them down with deep insight by a man who has obviously done this successfully, many times over.

5.0 out of 5 stars What the Lean Startup should have been

What frustrated me about the Lean Startup was the lack of practical examples, it was way too theoretical about its concepts. This book is what the Lean Startup should have been. Extremely practical and well-written.

One of the best product books I've read as someone transitioning into product management. Really good insight on how to build products from the ground up, and how to ensure you're hitting the mark on business goals. Truly recommend for anyone starting out in product management or business

Wow! This was the greatest education I received on becoming a true product expert.
I have learned so many things that can save startups from failure. This is THE entrepreneurship education you need to bring your ideas to life. I read it slowly and highlighted +500 ideas. It took me around 30 hours to finish. I loved it. And will apply it step by step.
