Do not load with 3 bikes. Dented my trunk.

I think this style should be limited to 2 bikes or very short trips. I used it to take 3 ladies bikes (1 road bike, 2 mountain bikes) on a 1.5-2hr trip and it dented my trunk just below the license plate. Will be looking into roof rack or hitch version instead. It was also quite difficult to fit all three bikes on the carrier. Attaching it to the trunk is quite easy.

Dangerous and not safe product

I bought this one to carry 3 bikes. On the first day I used it for only 2 to get sure about its safety. But both steel pins popped out after a 10 km . The two parts got detached. The bikes slid downwards while the car was moving, and scratched the trunk. When setting up the rack before , it happened again immediately after I put on two bikes and damaged my trunk as you can see in photo. I was lucky it didn't happen on highway which could cause serious and dangerous situation. Then I my wife drive the car and me and son used bike to reach destination. For return home my friends helped me bringing back bikes to home since I believe it is totally unsafe product.
I got a lot of stress on that day. I hope at least the seller compensate the damage they made to my car.
It is very dangerous on the road.
I travelled no more than 20 km one way, no harsh braking, and no speedbumps. It's extrememly dangerous to use this bike rack. I have also found two one star review reporting the exactly same problem as mine. I hope the company stop selling and also Amazon prevent selling unless the product become safe.

Defective product, dangerous to use

I had a 2-bike rack of the same brand for a couple years. That one worked fine, so I bought this one to carry one more child bike, without checking the product reviews. On the first day I used it, both steel pins popped out after a 10 km local drive. The two parts (circled in red) got detached as shown in the first photo. The bikes slid downwards while the car was moving, and scratched the trunk.
When setting up the rack before returning home, it happened again immediately after I put on two bikes. I wrapped the pins using the extra straps. It delayed but did not prevent it happening nevertheless. The rack collapsed as shown in the second photo. The two carry arms were pointing down. Imagine having bikes dangle with only two top straps carrying the most weight. It is very dangerous on the road.
I travelled no more than 15km one way, no highway, no harsh braking, and no speedbumps. It's extrememly nerve-racking and dangerous to use this bike rack. I have also found another one star review reporting the exactly same problem as mine. not sure it is a defect or just bad luck.

Gives scratches on the bumper

First of all if you have to return, be ready to pay CAD 102 minimum for return postal charges. It can only fir 2 bikes and not 3, and it gave SCRATCHES on the rear bumper of my brand new car, i feel cheated as i have to get the bumper painted at my own cost and this rip off for returning with charges is additional. Beware before buying, you wont be happy in the end.

Very disappointed with this bike rack. It does not accommodate 3 bikes. I used this once and almost lost our bikes on the highway. Both metal pins came out of the holes that keep the carry arms in place.

Had to return the product after i tried to install it in my 2009 Honda CRV. Although I checked before purchasing this rack will fit my model, I doubt the manufacturer fitted this product in the claimed models. The peddle of the bike nearest to the car is touching the paint of the car and will scratch for sure . The pivoting bolt is not designed to take the entire load while the car going into road . They should tested at 3-4 G to prove it can stand road conditions .

Relies on steel pressure fit pins to hold it together - not good

Arrived damaged out of box - steel pins that hold the frame rigid were bent and would not go in, and certainly would not have stayed in place. Even if they weren't bent out of shape, I'd have been very dubious about using this design because there is nothing to secure the pins in place aside from pressure.

The very worst thing is that to return this faulty product, I have to wait at home for Evri/ Hermes to collect it, for up to 10 hours. No timeslot, no prior call, no possibility to drop it off at a parcel shop, nothing. Not impressed at all.

Gray Market Product, Allen Won't Warranty! (equivalent to used)

When I saw this in the listing, I asked a question about what this meant, but got no answer: "Allen's warranty does not cover items purchased through third-party sellers". But, I noticed it said that it was being sold and fulfilled by Amazon, not a marketplace seller, so I thought I was good. Amazon wouldn't gray market things, right? Well, the shipping turned out a bit bizarre (showed as delivered on the day it shipped, though I hadn't gotten it). I inquired of the seller, who then told me it would be shipped the following Wednesday. It ARRIVED the following Monday... but I noticed... this wasn't Amazon, it was somebody called AMAZOMA. Wait a second... so this is a third party seller AND Allen won't honor the warranty AND the page represents the seller as Amazon, which it is NOT. So, think about it like this... you are paying retail price for something that actually has no warranty (what's that worth... 10-20% of the price?). I reported this to Amazon, who expressed their surprise and consternation... and swiftly did... NOTHING. So, perhaps not such a great deal after all. Hoping that some of you read this and know what you are getting into. If you don't mind the lack of warranty, hey, you're golden. If you want one... perhaps look elsewhere.

The bike rack itself is great... I just wish I'd bought it from an authorized seller.
