Great book! Great way to educate children and have discussions for them to understand how life works. Very pleased with this book, and very helpful for parents as we all know the sex conversation can be quite uncomfortable and also scary for us as we obviously do not want to traumatized or scare our children. My daughter loves this book.

Not overly a fan. Too cartoonish (all cartoonish). Way too much stuff packed onto each page. I'll keep looking for a better book...my 6yr old daughter is very into the miracle of life and a bunch of this was so basic. With all the great reviews I expected much more.

My son.calls it the donor book because we get to talk about my wish to have them and their reason for being here and also they get to know about their bio dad although the person is just a donor. They feel special to have this person because like my son says “he gave mama a special gift”

Great way to start conversations with our son- he is just shy of six, but we can see this being a resource to circle back on for several years.

My daughter likes this book because it is a safe way to bring up things she has questions about. It has cartoony drawings, but there is a lot of information about pregnancy. Some parents might find it too detailed but I like how it keeps the information appropriate and kid-friendly. My little girl really wanted to know about babies, and even with all this information, some of it went over her head and that's fine. Her innocence is maintained while she develops some understanding of the biology of childbirth.

I bought this for my son (8) and my daughter (9). My son had been asking questions about where babies come from. My daughter, though, is the one who LOVED this book. I read a few chapters with them with the intention of reading more the next day. By then she had pretty much finished the entire book on her own, so instead I just discussed what she had read with her, explaining bits she was a bit confused about. When she found out that we own this book and it doesn't have to go back to the library she was extremely happy because she wants to read it all again. This book presented the facts in a way that leaves it open to add in your personal views about sex and intimacy.
