This book is really great. It's very small which is perfect for little hands, but the pages are thick enough which are easy for my almost 17 month old to turn. The best part is that it's absolutely loaded with different REAL LIFE-LIKE animals and not just 1 picture per page of drawn, cartoon like animals. The book is busy looking, but I personally don't find it overwhelming. My baby seems to enjoy it quite a bit and always flips through the pages with amusement and even pauses on certain pages to do a once over double take. If you are looking for a developmental/educational book - I don't think you will be disappointed.
