As someone who is brand new to the scene, this offered a lot of insight my potential sub could not.

A lot of it was things I was already aware of, but there are more than enough good tidbits here and there to justify the price and my time.

I don't think I'll be purchasing the further volumes, however, as I don't feel they cover what I need.

I think everyone thinking about being a Dom or starting down the road should read this book. There’s not a lot to it but it’s a good introduction. If you read this book and think well this is common sense then you have some reassurance you are on the right track and in the right mindset. Part of the issue I see here is anyone that really needs to read this book is the one that won’t read any books.
It’s not expensive and it’s a quick easy read. A good first book to get you started. Take it for what it is, a basic introduction to get you started. If your going to be a good dom you’ll read this and then move on to better books. If you decide not to go any further or it’s just to spice up the bedroom a little with your partner for fun then you get the basics and haven’t spent a lot of time, money and effort.

If I were writing an essay about BDSM, it might have value as a reference, but absolutely nothing in it you can't learn in 30 minutes on the internet! Not even good for a noobie. If you are inclined towards BDSM, as top or bottom, you probably already know everything in this book.
