After reading “Lasting Impact” I have decided it’s just too good to keep to myself. I have purchased copies for all our staff and church leadership and plan to have those “powerful conversations” trusting that God can use us in greater ways once we get focused on things that truly matter, and have the courage to change the things that don’t. The clarity of insight and implications of cultural changes and current trends was very helpful as well as the discussion questions at the end of each chapter. Asking the right questions is a huge part of the process toward effective change.

I was leary about this book at first when it was recommended to me, but I have found it to be very thought provoking and worth the read. Not only should pastors read this book but elders and deacon should as well.

Practical and Insightful. A must read.
I pastor a small church that is positioning itself to have greater impact in our community and area. I read the first few pages and new I needed to get a copy for the rest of our church leadership. I'm glad I did. Now we are taking it to the next level - we are working through the book, chapter by chapter, with our congregation. Excited about the lasting results with our congregation and our community!

A great book to read individually or as a team. The discussion questions at the end of each chapter were a great asset for us to generate powerful conversations about some deep things we need to be aware of.

Carey is so practical and helpful with everything he writes. What I love about this book is that it's really 7 mini books. You can choose whichever topic your team currently needs help with, and do that one. Simple and non-overwhelming for a team to read and then discuss! And questions are included at the end of each chapter :) Thanks for this awesome resource!
