This is the correct part for a 2002 BMW coupe or convertible (no upper window frame). Amazon site is wrong and currently says "This does not fit your: 2002 BMW 330Ci", which is incorrect.

This is an exact replacement for BMW OEM # 51338229106 (Dorman # 749-745), front right, passenger side regulator. Coupes or convertibles buy this one https://amazon.com/gp/product/B01I9B1QCW/ and do not mistakenly buy this one https://amazon.com/gp/product/B01I82Z5M4/ , which is for the sedan models.

tolerances too great

I installed this in my 2001 convertible. I always had trouble getting the door to close properly after install, the problem being the window would not seat properly in the seal at the top. I just had to put the window down and then up and all was well. I thought it was just some adjustments. Well I finally got around to adjusting it and nothing seemed to help. I then took apart the other side and discovered the reason for the issue was the rear rail and the guide not tight enough. The tolerance was too great and caused the window to "flop" a little and wouldn't close properly. It also rattled in the door if the window was down and the door was opened and then closed. Otherwise it worked fine. It may work fine with a coupe that has an entire frame around the whole window, but not on my convertible.

This part looked every bit as robust as the OEM part it replaced. Perfect fit. All holes and attachments lined up well. I lubed the pulleys and cable a bit and it works as good as ever. Note: Coupes don't usually have all of the problems the sedans have. If the driver's side goes I'd buy it again.

Replaced passenger 330ci convertible. Window did not fit correctly no matter what adjustments made. Sits too high about 3/16 gets caught at top when closing door even with auto retract working. Will be replacing with higher quality part. You get what you pay for.

Wouldn’t recommend. I have a 2004 325ci and I was adjusting the window cause I noticed it wasn’t fitting properly, then I try to see if it would fit one last time. I close the passenger door and the entire window shatters... Took the next day of work off, went to the junkyard, got a new window, window regulator, 4 Harmon Kardon speakers and a bmw emblem, everything with 30 day warranty for a total of 90 buckaroos!!!!!!! So moral of the story is get oem parts from a junkyard and save your money!!!!

Called local BMW Dealership, quoted 975 dollars to repair window regulator. Found this part on Amazon, had mechanic friend install part and windows work perfectly as they should. Would definitely recommend at this point, will update if anything goes wrong.

It fit my 325ci but had too much slack in it and couldn’t retract the window when you open the door so when you closed the door it would stick out from under the top. Finally put dealer regulator in and it fixed the problem.
