This is a simple story with a nice message for preschoolers and readers under the age of six. The illustrations are basic and generic. Dinosaur lovers will enjoy reading about five different types of dinosaurs who are friends that stick together and help each other in times of trouble.

The author packs the book with lots of "extras." Links to other books, puzzles, mazes, etc. They can become annoying. Readers don't receive closure. The book ends with a cliffhanger that prompts the reader to buy the next book in the series. Recommended for ages three through six who can't get enough of dinosaurs.

My kids like dinosaurs and that is why we chose this. But... the formatting on our kindle version was not easy on the eye, and the story was so generic it could have been ANY animal lost in a storm! And the idea of Trexes living happily with herbivores? And the story did not even end properly - is this the first chapter in a longer book?

The illustrations are well done and the story itself has a positive message, but this book is filled with external links to other free books and activities as well as instructions to leave a review. While the links themselves may actually be to other books, their inclusion raised some red flags for me. I'd prefer the inclusion of an author's web address in the front or back matter, so that parents may check the site first before a child blindly clicks.
