The customer service isn’t too bad, probably more of the better service I’ve had! It was a simple process once my embroidery machine stopped working. I sent it their way and once they were unable to fix it, I quickly received my refund. Total lifesavers, thanks!
Peace of mind is so important. I purchased a 15K BTU Air Conditioner from our beloved Amazon, 3 years no worries and only pennies to insure. About two years ago I brought an 50inch LG TV, (Square Trade) it went out and this firm issued me a refund. I did after to deal with CS (30 minutes) trouble shooting over the phone a repair and solution to TV problem, to no avail, refund issued. For the A/C they'll pay for a rep to check and repair/replace. ASURION is great too.
They say no gotchas, no gimmicks, and no grief—yet there contract does not tell you which product it covers. This is an obvious gimmick as most folks do not label and file everything so not knowing what the contract covers makes it so you won't use it if something goes wrong.
I purchased a casement window air conditioner AND the asurion 3 year warranty extension for the unit. The air conditioner was faulty from day one in that the temperature control did NOT control temperature and the compressor would not stay on unless the unit was set at the minimum 62 F setting. I called the manufacturer/distributor of the air conditioner and they informed me that there was NO WARRANTY on the unit because it was sold by a third party. The unit was only warranted if it was purchased directly from the distributor themselves.
I then checked with the extended warranty company *asurion" and was told they would not warrantly the product until after 12 months subsequent from purchase.
I highly suggest that anyone concerned with receiving a working product from Amazon should take care to investigate thoroughly before placing an order.
I contacted Amazon and they will replace or refund these items however I see no choice but to get a refund. Replacement with a non-warrantied product seems like something even a very foolish person would not consider.
Asurion's policy on not honoring it's extended warranty until 12 months after purchase is also hmmmmm unusual and makes their warranty products a questionable purchase.
