What there is to say about most stories has to do with their shortcomings. In this case, the story was short-- very short-- and could easily be a segment of similar stories, but it also worked as a simple, short story by itself. The word choices and timing fit the younger audience and manages to invoke the imagination to open up the small number of pages to see various aspects of the situations and the possible ways it could diverge.

That makes it a very, very, very good read for the younger reader, and works with their mind to go one step beyond the words in the sentence to make the story come alive.

It earned five out of five stars.

One day, Seb gets on Stargazer’s back and is able to hear and understand what the carousel pony is thinking and can talk to the pony and get answers. The two get to like each other. And one day Stargazer gets free. Those who acquire this book can get another book, a bonus book, for free.

Stargazer was a carousel pony. He loved having children enjoy their rides with him. But one day a little boy named Sebastian went on the ride and told Stargazer about real ponies and the adventures they had. Sebastian described ponies who roamed free and frolicked in the fields. This made Stargazer think his life was boring. He longed to be free. Sebastian explained how to become free of the carousel. From then on, the two friends had many adventures. It's a well-written story, but short. In my opinion, children and families would enjoy it even more if bright, colorful illustrations were included and the story was longer.

I chose 3 stars because it was WAY to short. If you have read this i am sure that you are in agreement. There is an amazing storyline, and a LOT of detail for such a small book. I recommend this book to people who have a high imagination for things that are physically impossible. This would have gotten 5 stars had it been at least one hundred pages. Again, this is an amazing book, with a great storyline. I can not stress that enough. I have high quality standards for books and this is on the low end of the awesome books that I have read. If you are looking for a short story with high quality, this is the book for YOU.

This very descriptive book is a great read aloud for parents and kids. The length of the book is good for one or two sittings, or for revisiting a cute tale. This story will get the imagination flowing for any young reader who loves horses.
