Do not buy this if you live anywhere there is a winter or salt spray/ application to roads.

Complete waste of money. The design of this allows moisture to get in and the key will not turn.

Fix? Use a bar and apply pressure. Simply popped off.

Second review;

Attention criminals and thieves; A very easy lock to snap open. Metal will be more brittle in the winter.

installé sur ma roulotte et a la première occasion pour l'enlevé la clef ne tourne pas mais heureusement le cadenas est fait de métal blanc et fut très très facile a brisé avec un pied de biche.Il était trop tard pour le retourné.

Lock does not fit like it suppose to.
Can't return unless I pay return shipping and then get hit with a 20% restocking fee. Buyer beware!! Buy from local or direct from amazon only not a 3rd party seller like this one.

Looks pretty but apparently you can’t use it when it’s cold. I had it on my trailer in freezing temps, and it froze itself into the trailer hitch. I used a small screw driver to gently pry it out after unlocking the lock and unlatching the hitch, and it broke in two pieces in my hands. I literally laughed out loud when it happened. A small child could have broken this easily. In retrospect I’m glad I found out how little protection this provides before a criminal stole my trailer.

Said it fits every style tongue/lip... found out real quick that was a lie. Put it on a horse trailer with a 2 5/16 ball, it locked on.. when its aligned with the trailer but all you have to do is spin it with your hands to the side and it falls right out. And yes i tried locking it on sideways and same result. Its cheap... spend the extra money and buy something quality

Stuck On After Five Months

Easy to install, gives the appearance that the trailer is secure. But it was installed for five months, just tried to remove it for the first time and the lock mechanism was rusted internally and the key wouldn't turn. Tried some WD40 for a few minutes, but no change. Maybe if it was allowed to soak for several hours/days with multiple applications, it would eventually free up. But needed the trailer immediately, so took a hammer to it. With just a regular 20oz claw hammer and a few aimed blows, it snapped in half. It's just made of cast aluminum.

If the lock mechanism was more rust resistant, I could rate it higher because it at least gives the illusion of security and would slow a thief down, but as-is it's lucky to get one star. Avoid this one and try a different style and brand of lock.

This does not fit a standard trailer hitch. It locks in place but sits so far out that locked as tight as you can get it all it takes is a very easy 90 degree turn by hand and it falls off! Seriously a quarter turn either direction and your trailer is ready to be stolen. It literally falls off- no rattling or trying to get it. Just a turn and it's on the ground. Complete waste of money
