This book is amazing in so many ways!! It approaches goal setting, reaching, and, more importantly, how to proceed once you reached your goal! I had listened to the audiobook earlier this year and it was so good that I decided to borrow the physical book from the library, but then I realized that this book is a must have, so I purchased my own. There's so much to come back to! Definitely recommend it!

Good for Ready, Aim, Aim, Aim types

While I felt the book was a bit repetitive, it's a good book for the Ready, Aim, Aim, Aim, Aim...type.

Acuff addresses perfectionism and the lies it tells us as we try to do our work. This is a book for a Chronic Starter. Someone that has lots of projects laying around and almost none out in the world for others to see.

If you're more a Ready, Fire, Aim type, then look at Perennial Seller by Ryan Holiday.

Its not a list of how to get yourself to the end. It’s talk about a lot of common things, things you know you should be doing. It does hit of common thinking patterns that most of us go through, but doesn’t do the work for you. For instance - you still need to find your “fun” and attach it to the thing you are trying to do. Common sense - but you still gotta do the work, find it, attach it as a underlying theme and track it. No easy shortcuts here...

The writing style didn't let me finish reading the book. I tried several time to read the book, but every time I picked up the book I hardly could finish 2 or 3 paragraphs. After having the book in my shelf, I decided stop reading it. Apart from that, the contents that I found in the book, at least in the parts that I read, were not new things. I already knew all these techniques. All in all, I did not enjoy the style and did not find something that could attract me.

This is a good book for someone finishing college or entering the work force. Jon writes this from his perspective. You can identify his struggles and obstacles. Therefore, unless you mirror Jon then the information may prove void. I wouldn’t recommend the book.
