This is the best book I’ve read in a long time. I bought it thinking that it would be useful to me in the way I serve as a role model to the girls in my life, but actually, it’s becoming incredibly eye opening about my own behaviors and what I notice in the women around me. This book is written and marketed towards girls, but I think it is invaluable to women as well. I’ve learned so much and I can assure you that this beautiful ok will change the way you think about yourself and the way you can support the girls in your life. Enjoy it! It’s a gem. In addition to reading the book I listened to the audiobook and it was great.

It's not for folks who are willing to pay anything to achieve that end but for those who channel their high-achieving daughters into a perpetual cycle of academics, sports, arts and good works in order to impress admissions officers. The author resigned from a Rhodes scholarship to lead a more authentic life, so that tells you something about her point of view. I recommend it to parents all the time.
