This book had some very interesting insights on the people & events involved in the race to the moon. The book provided excellent historic account of NASA, the astronauts, their friends & families & the good and bad times leading up to landing & walking on the moon. I would highly recommend this book.
A good read, but it gets bogged down in too much technical jargon. I enjoyed the DVD of the same title, and figured I would also enjoy the book. I am 80% of the way through, and feel like they're going to be giving short shrift to the actual moon missions. An interesting read, though, certainly LOTS of information about the NASA programs of the 60s.
An excellent account of the Golden Age of spaceflight. Covering all of Gemini and the first half of Apollo (1965-1969). If you are looking for an account of the astronauts themselves, i.e. Biography, this will do nicely, if you are looking for the politics and technical details of the missions, look elsewhere.
