Your typical juvenile Zombie Apocalypse novel. Ex- Special OPs (of course) saves topless gorgeous stripper who happens to be a 4th year med student also. Each adventure gets more outrageous with zombies overrunning each safe haven as soon as they get there. No need for extra characters as everyone they meet is neatly killed off at end of each novella/book. An example:

Fast rope at night in a storm on top of a moving train with female zombies crawling on it.

Did I mention Major Chase was crucified and had nails driven through his hands (of course they seemed to have missed all nerves, tendons and bones in each hand). Swelling, heroes get no stinking swelling or loss of grip.

Did I mention I had a sucking chest wound the week before but the med student stripper cured me (who needs an ER).

After train derails in a zombie horde in a fog so thick you can barely see person right in front of you, instead of waiting 2 hours till the fog burns off (author's admission), he leads 8,000 out of shape American passengers (BIG Train) with 300 NG soldiers, 2 Hummers and a Bradley as escorts on a 5 MILE RUN to the river through the zombie horde through a fog so thick you can not see your partner or perfectly trained Dog (he found) most of the time.

"We might lose a few passengers"

Save yourself and your money. Thanks to Amazon Unlimited, I did not have to pay for this trash!

Great concept, but terrible execution. Characters are mostly one dimensional and completely uninteresting. The lead character, a former superman, who seems to have an endless supply of knowledge and stamina. The coincidences and escapes are beyond belief. One of the baddies, "Roach" is so cartoonish in his villany that it was hard to take him seriously. It is difficult to find well written apocalypse literature, and this failed to achieve it. Very disappointed.
