Cons:
- cans often come dented
My cats love this food and I've ordered it several times, but there's always been at least 1 dented can!!
Please be very careful to check your cans if you are feeding to your cats, because if the can is severely damaged then they may get sick from the bacteria that gets passed into the food. There's a good article about this in detail if you google Dented pet food cans from Preventive Vet.
Whenever I receive the cans, it was always just the box of cans inside an Amazon box with no padding, so I'm not sure if it could have been dented during delivery or if the package was even dented beforehand. Still, it would be great if a little more care could be put into the delivery for these as dented cans can be very dangerous for our pets!
Other than that, my 2 cats love these food and I think many cats will warm up to it easily. It's a good food if you are starting to introduce your cats to wet food since it smells appealing and is very palatable. I find that my cats like this variety pack of flavours a lot better than the other Fancy Feast packs as they enjoy ALL of these flavours. Beef can be a little tricky as it is a much more different and stronger taste for some cats but if you introduce it slowly it will be fine. If you're having trouble feeding your cat the beef flavour, you can sprinkle some bonito flakes ontop, mix in a different flavour (like chicken) with the beef, or mix in some creamy treats to convince them.
Overall, great food for the cats, but need some quality control with the dented cans/delivery.
