A great children's book related to baking cake with two of the best bakers in a contest. It is an interesting book to read and the pictures go well with the story. It is interesting to see how two different personalities handle working under in competition with one another and learning about teamwork.
A nice story with cat and dog baking cakes in a competition. While it was fun reading the book , it also had some important lessons to learn , like you cannot win all the time, and its ok! The illustrations are amazing!
Cassie Pup is excited to be the new baker in Bindi’s Bakery. Soon, Cassie and Cordelia compete to make the best cupcakes. Things get out of hand, and Cassie and Cordelia soon learn an important lesson. The illustrations are bright and amusing. A fun read!
Wow! such a wonderful book. I gift this book my child she really enjoy to read this book. Cassie Pup couldn't wait to get started in her new position as Baker Bindi's doggie helper. When she first entered Bindi's Bakery, which was to be her new home, she was enthralled by all the delicious smells and delighted with her first meeting with Baker Bindi. Cassie was determined to be the best baker around and was awed when she saw the kitchen where she would bake her special muffins. She could feel the warmth of the oven, and loved looking at the chocolate fountain, and how the colorful frostings glowed and sparkled. Cassie got her own baker's hat and apron and was soon ready to bake. Then she met Cordelia Cat, who was also a world-renowned baker of muffins. They would both be baking their muffins together, but suddenly they each decided that their muffins would have to be the best. Pretty soon, their competition got entirely out of hand. I am happy to get this book. Thanks to the author.
I really adored to read ‘Cassie Pup takes the cake?’ by Sheri Poe-Pape. When Cassie pup entered Bindi’s Bakery, she left so excited. This was going to he her new home. The warmth of the oven and the enormous chocolate fountain were so delicious. Then baker Bindi gave Cassie her own baker’s hat and apron, this was heavenly for the her. It was only then that Cordelia Cat, another famous muffin baker, entered the room. Cordelia and Cassie would bake together. But suddenly they both wanted to be the best and they both went into a highly competitive mood, exciting and flying with as result a big accident. Their mixers spin totally out of control and they started to blame each other... After Baker Bindi told them that their greedy behavior to win a contest has made it into a disaster, the both bakers, Cassie and Cordelia, start to think that they cannot win every contest, and have to learn to loose too. And so they became friends.
I purchased this book, and the other two about Cassie Pup, for my 3 year-old niece for Christmas. They will have to be read to her, but the illustrations are bright and inviting, and the text will be easy for her to understand when read by someone older. I'm looking forward to the other two books, I'm sure she will love the world of Cassie Pup.
Another great installment of the Cassie series, this time for a bit of an offer audience. This book is perfect for kids who can read on their own and are getting ready to graduate towards chapter books. They'll enjoy the antics of 5he dueling bakers, and learn a valuable lesson along with Cassie and Cordelia.
