To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness.
Don't buy this video or at least from this vendor. I purchased this product in April for my son's birthday in June and when he went to play it, it was a blank/black screen. My deadline to return this product was in May, so now we are stuck with a video game that does not work.
We also have Minecraft Story Mode, but our kids don’t like it. We decided to give this Minecraft a try. What a great choice! They enjoy playing this Minecraft a lot. The Switch version has Super Mario character in it. That’s a bonus.
Great PC Minecraft Experience brought over to the Nintendo Switch. Glad the game includes the latest 1.13 aquatic update recently released on PC. If you like Minecraft you will surely enjoy this game. One thing I wished the game included though, was multiplayer servers with cross-platform capabilities. Nonetheless, this is just a suggestion and not a complaint.
This game is a great addition to the Nintendo Switch games library. Though to play online its a bit weird, because you must have a Nintendo Account and a Microsoft Account. The entire procedure was somewhat confusing. I tried setting up my son for online gaming so he can play with his school friends and it hasn't worked out quite well, not to mention the cost for subscription needing to play online. Hopefully Nintendo comes out with a better method instead of charging a monthy fee.
We have free minecraft on iPads..and computer..and whatever the heck else there is but nope my super frugal saves every penny kid insisted on BUYING this game with his own money for his switch. Why? Who knows. He understands the game, I don’t I just smile and nodd when they tell me what new creature they spawned. Anyways, he says the controls on the switch are the easiest to use and navigate and he likes the game platform the best. So, I guess that’s $30 well spent in his 8 year old mind and who am I to argue.
its minecraft so what's not to dislike? it's also bedrock edition if you want to know. if you don't know what that means nevermind. the card holder came plastic wrapped, the holder opens up just like a dvd holder, inside is a game card which you insert into the switch. the game card has a picture of minecraft on it (the logo) and lookes like an sd card. it also comes with a mario mash up that you should try (that's just a special world where everything is related to mario). i can't tell you how to play in this review (this is the most complicated game i have ever played). some websites are helpful but stay clear of ex. minecraftsuggestions because those are just suggestions and not real facts. youtube is really helpful but if it says "mod" somewhere that means its fake. oh and if you were wondering i recommend.
My daughter wanted a switch lite for Christmas and this was the only game she asked for. It's a must-have game she said for anyone with a switch. I was surprised at how easy it was to play and move around and build. It's a great game for the switch.
My 8 year grandson has his birthday 10 days before Christmas. Minecraft was for his birthday. He loves to build and play lego. So this game was perfect . He has Minecraft LEGO sets and loves them. Goes along great with the Nintendo switch game.
I was a bit scared reading some of the reviews about software issues but the game has worked impeccably on my Switch. There was just one glitch so far where the in-game store couldn't be navigated away from without popping up again instantly but it was fixed with a simple restart and no data was lost. I love the nostalgic hit from simpler times. Controls for the game are intuitive and small tweaks from the PC version have only made the game easier/better to play.
