Buying shoes online is risky to say the least. With Timberland you can purchase online with ease of mind. I recommend that you go to a shoe store and actually find a pair of Timberland shoes, boots, or hikers you like and buy them there. After 3 to 6 months you will know that these are the shoes you want to wear every day. Here is the BEST PART!!! If the Timberland dress shoes you bought at the shoe store were a 11.5 Wide you will be able to order a pair of Timberland 11.5 wide loafers, hikers, and/or hunting boots online and know they will fit! For the life of me I've never understood why a shoe manufacturer can't duplicate the fit of their shoes/boots across all of their models and styles. Timberland does it!! My friends and family will even call me to say they found a pair of 11.5W Timberlands on clearance at places like ROSS and Burlington Coat Factory and ask me if I want the to buy them and I say YES! That's not the only reason to buy Timberland. The leather they use is of the highest quality. If for some reason the fit of your new Timberlands is a little tight don't worry. In less than 3 days they will break in. I replace my Timberland Steel Toe work boots every year (January) when my job gives us our shoe allowance. In over 10 years of ordering these online from AMAZON I have never been disappointed.
These boots would have been perfect for my husband for work. I bought them for his birthday. I read online that timberlands run large so with the upcoming winter I decided against a half size larger for thicker socks. I did, however, order the Wide size. If these are wide then I would hate to see the skinny little twigs they call medium! These were more narrow than any pair of his medium width shoes, not to mention the wide ones! The tag said wide. The box said wide. It’s really really really disappointing because he loved them but he just cannot wear them.
I drive a truck and chose these boots because they have replaceble OEM insoles. Just one problem, the sole collapsed on the left (clutch foot) side so a new insole didn't cure the discomfort that developed over time. I bought 2 sets of OEM insoles replacements and after the first one failed I might as well have been bare footed as far as left foot comfort. I've done some web research and found a brand that is built for working people and made in America. They cost almost 3 times what the timberland cost but it's worth it. So if you need a working mans boot and don't mind paying for it skip these weekend hiking boots.
These boots fit pretty well. I've worn the timberland chocorua trail for awhile, and the pro flume fit is similar. Order whatever size you normally would. The toe box isnt noticeable to me, no pinching or rubbing. Although, I only wore them briefly around the house.
I am returning these for one small/minor reason...they look dumb. Unless you wear boot cut pants you probably will not like the way the pants fall over the boot. There is a ridiculous amount, I'd say unnecessary amount, of padding around the ankle. I wear slim fit pants/jeans. NOT skinny fit, but slim, and I think they look stupid and for that reason I'm returning them.
So far, so good. I was concerned that the steel toe cup would make these boots either uncomfortable or too small. Neither was the case. These boots fit true to size. I wear a size 12 and these fit perfectly. I started wearing them around the house for the weekend before returning to work on a Monday to start breaking them in and by Monday, they felt great. Great ankle support but at first, this part was a bit tight and uncomfortable. After wearing them for a few days, they were fine though. I’ve always had great life out of the Timberlands I’ve had and these seem to be no different
I wear these pretty much every day for work. I am an office person, but I have to go to construction sites regularly. I don't see them holding up in the field for every day use, but they are perfect for what I need them for. They look good enough and are comfortable enough for a casual office environment and I don't need to keep a second pair of work boots in my truck. And the cost is low. I haven't waded through much water yet, so I can't comment on the waterproofness.
Bought 8 pairs of boots from Amazon before this pair, every one of them were either to small or large in one area or another.. These are the only ones that fit Good right from the start... They're comfortable, my second to the last toe rides the rim, (Just A Touch), but it's not bad at all.. As said before out of 8 pairs of Boots All Over $100+/- these are the only ones that fit almost perfectly right out of the box.. They are constructed very well, all the stitching Etc. is good.. The leather seems to be of good Quality, They're waterproof.. All in All these boots are a Great Buy..
