So I bought these so I could walk and job with the bike trailer and they work for that. They wobble a lot when I jog with the stroller/trailer but I prefer that over buying a separate jogging strolling. They are fairly easy to get on and off, sometimes requiring a bit of a hit, but even my kids can do it. I use these wheels often each week.. After about a year of use, they are holding up.
They wobble back and forth, a lot, once you get above about 2mph. You can't run with them, or even walk normal speed, without them rattling like a shopping cart. I'd be less critical if (1) they weren't super expensive, and/or (2) if the problem weren't so easy for the company to fix.
You pay a super-premium price for these, so you have to expect them to work. The rattling back and forth could be fixed, so easily, if they just added a lock-in-place switch that you could turn on when you wanted it.
We love these! Only issue that was easily fixed was that when you put these on the trailer the metals clang and rattle, so we just took felt sticker pads you put on bottom of furniture and that worked perfect. Still so happy we bought these. You can buy the one wheel, that might be better for running. These are great because it takes up less room.
The jogger wheel attachment for the Encore is fixed and constantly pulls left , so I got these because it was a hassle lifting and adjusting the jogger to the right every 10 yards. Unfortunately these wheels behave like a bad shopping cart once you pass a slow jogging speed. The front weight is not heavy enough to keep them on the pavement. Burley, why don't you make a jogging attachment that pivots. I may has well be using a super-save shopping cart to jog with my kids! Go with a Bob stroller off Craigslist and save yourself several $$$.
Probably a Great product for crowded places but the wheel that domes with it give my 3-month old grandson a much smother ride on concrete. I also bought the jogger kit main for gravel/rock paths. Also seemed a little more front end too light and the front left wheel wanted to wobble causing even more vibration. Will probably keep just incase we go to someplace crowded
It does what it's told. Kinda pricey for casters, but I couldn't make them for that price. They drag through deep sand instead of rolling on the top, not too surprised there, just rock it back and roll on the main wheels.
Be advised, while the two wheel kit is well made, this version does not work with the Burley Tail Wagon. The plastic bumpers prohibit full insertion of the rails. Look for the other listing on Amazon that does not have the large plastic front bumpers if you have the Tail Wagon.
