So, to begin, the Danner Boots that I bought years ago are wearing out and not available anymore. So I got these. My first impression was; these are not tough-looking enough, after all, I am the Marlborough Man. The first time I put them on I thought that they were snug, but easy to put on and comfortable. They were comfortable and fit; perfectly, not big and not small. At first, I thought that I would only be able to wear dress socks with them but that is not the case, I wore regular socks and they were fine. They are definitely an upgrade for me and my image. They are sharp-looking and these are more of a dress-up boot shoe. I can't put my foot on it, but these aren't boots, they are more like a shoe with ankle support and I am perfectly okay with this. They are classy and comfortable. The first day, that I decided the wear these I got in the car and drove 400 miles and they performed excellently. You also get two different kinds of shoelaces to pick from which really is a great option and when this pair of shoelaces get worn out I already have a 2nd pair at the ready and I am excited for this. Ultimately I do not think any boot can keep up with my old Danners, but these are a great-looking option.
there are really two items that i dislike about these boots- the pull loop at the back of the boot for you to pull the boot on is too small to fit a finger through. this is super annoying for me and the amount of material that's needed to make this loop big enough to put your finger through is minimal. my second gripe is that the laces do not easily slide through the eyelets. this isn't as big of a deal to me as the pull loop being undersized but when coupled they make it difficult to put the boots on.
I bought this boot to wear while riding a motorcycle. It does that job very well. The boot seems to be an excellent value for the money, but it is no replacement for a premium walking boot or shoe. The material that the sole is made of is heavier than it has to be. The description said it was leather lined, so I was a little disappointed when I looked inside and saw a fabric liner with some kind of foam spacer sewed in. Comfort seems to be improving as I wear them.
Fine for the price, clearly not real leather but fit is normal, good ankle support once laced.
They came with two sets of laces on each boot, a black one from the bottom and a grey one in just the top three pairs of eyes. Both sets of laces are long enough to lace the entire boot, so trying to wear them with two sets left enough lace to wrap around my ankle from the top, and to make the knot large from the bottom, not great. After wearing them once that way I took out the extra lace at the top and they're now as pictured, work great. Spare laces, I guess.
I've owned these boots for about two and half months and they're the best pair I've ever owned for the price tag. I wear these boots to work every day, walking on concrete and metal grating for 8 or more hours. They're very comfortable to be in. There was no break-in period even though I have wider feet, they're not too heavy, and have held up well. Sure, the original insoles came unglued after the first day and eventually the foam layer got chewed up after two weeks of constant wear, but it wasn't a hardship to put a pair of dr scholl's in. They're good boots.
For the cost, I was pleasantly surprised with how nice these boots are. I gifted them to my boyfriend for Christmas, and you better believe he’s feelin’ himself. The material is so soft, and they appear much more expensive then they are. He keeps saying how comfortable they are too. He has an average-width foot. Size is as expected too. 10/10 recommendation!
Nice boots they very comfortable and easy walking boots for me I really like these boots , nice looking and comfortable and holding up well, after 3 months they still look new and I wear them at least,5 times a week Happy with them.
Great looking and comfortable, but the onsoles were not glued well.and came apart quickly- nothing that cannot be corrected with after market insoles, but annoying, none the less. Over all, theybarr a good value of you can look past the insole issue.
